Birth Certificates are issued by General Register Office Ireland - see http://www.groireland.ie for details. There is no online ordering service.  
 
Baptismal Certificates are issued by the parish priest where one was baptised.  
 
For family trees, photocopies of birth certificates are what you need, giving parents names and place of birth. For passport applications, certified copies are required.  
 
There are many good research agents with online ordering service available. See http://www.irishancestries.com for details

My grandmother (Ellen Brett) was from Broher. She was born in 1877 and emigrated to america in 1898. I would like to know if there is a catholic church in Broher and if not what parrish would I contact to try to get a Baptism Certificate. Thank you. I would appreciate any help you might be able to give me. I would like to visit the church on my next visit to Ireland. I would also like to have some masses said for her in the church where she was baptized.

hi lisa im not a 100% sure but i think your parish church should have records of your baptism,if not they might be able to give better advice

My mother was born in stranorlar.Her name was CATHERINE KELLY.BD 8 MAY 1906.Where can I get a full birth certificate?

As KELLY is such a common surname, you may need to find the correct record first. There were over 600 Catherine Kellys born in Ireland in or around 1906. There were about ten births with that name that were registered in Donegal in that year. 
 
If the information is just for family research, you do not need to pay for a certificate. A scanned copy which has the same information can be cheaper. 
 
If you go to http://www.bing.com/ and search for "irish birth certificates", you should find some family tree researchers who can do the searching for you.

Hi, My father was born in Monaghan Hospitial in feb 1944. He was baptised there as well. I would like to know if any one can help me find where his baptismal certificate would be kept, if at all I would be really greatful for any help. Thanks
