Births and marriages in Ireland only began to be officially recorded in 1860s. Before that, only parishes may have recorded baptisms or marriage ceremonies. 
 
Birth and Marriage Certificates are issued by General Register Office Ireland - see http://www.groireland.ie for details. Their records are only searchable manually. There is no online ordering service.  
 
For family trees, photocopies of certificates are what you want.  
 
There are many good research agents with online ordering service available. See http://www.irishancestries.com for details
