We plan to visit Ireland in August 2008 and am trying to narrrow down our best route on where to stay. The areas we hope to cover are: 
Sligo (town) 
Sligo Vicinity (Yeats Country) 
Donegal (town) 
Donegal Vicinity 
Troy Island 
Inishowen Peninsula 
Derry 
Belleck 
Giant's Causeway Coastline. 
 
Travel distance will be a deciding factor as we are flying into Shannon. Would you please be able to help with distances from Shannon to Sligo, Shannon to Donegal, Shannon to Letterkenny, Sligo, Donegal, letterkennet to Newmarket on Fergus?  
 
I am also interested in suggestions on hotels or private homes for rent to accomodate with 5 bedrooms? 
 
Could you hire a driver for 7 persons to travel from the airport to the destination of choice once decided on hotel and area? From there a rental car could be picked up in town. Also, being from the USA, are our driver's licenses sufficient or do we need to plan on something else? 
 
Any help you have would be appreciated?
