Re: road distance Dublin-LondonAdvice Guy. at 00:04:31 on 15 Apr 2000 well it depends whether you are taking the boat or plane. Re: road distance Dublin-Londonjd at 14:16:38 on 18 Jun 2000 > > Can anyone tell me the distance, by car and driving time from Dublin to London? > To travel by car between London and Dublin can take most of a day. The trip from London to Holyhead in Wales can take between 6 and 8 hours, depending on the traffic. It is then a two-hour ferry crossing from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire. You must be at the ferry terminal in Holyhead with plenty of time to spare. I would recommend that you travel north in the UK to Chester or a similar town, spend the night there, and then make the rest of the journey to Holyhead, as it minimises the chance of you waiting a long time or missing your boat in Holyhead. Chester is a beautiful old-fashioned town in the north of England. > Basically, leave at least a full day to travel between the two cities, and possibly break it up into two half-days. > David How long will it take to fly from Heathrow to Dublin? Check out a map.You could take a ferry from Dublin to England or Wales, though. Re: Road distance between Holyhead and LondonOlivia o leary at 20:28:33 on 04 Nov 2008 Re: Road distance between Holyhead and LondonSuzie at 16:16:06 on 11 Nov 2008 There is only one route out of Holyhead, pretty good road these days, links direct to motor ways for several parts of England. Just follow motorway signs, London is listed. Takes between 5-7 hours drive, plenty of Motorway services to stop for coffee etc. Do not recommend A roads, much too long a drive. Re: Road distance between Holyhead and LondonFiona at 14:02:24 on 18 Nov 2008 Best route is M1, M6, M56, A55.
