Hey,
I have been reading about the infamous Hell Fire Club that existed in Ireland, and about one of there meeting points, The Eagle's Tavern on Cork Hill beside Dublin Castle. Was wondering if it is still standing or is there a different building there now? Thanks for the help

Eagle Tavern

Hi Emmet, The Eagle Tavern is long gone. It was built at the back of Baron's Yard which is were the Italian Restaurant, "Tosca" and "The Queen of Tarts" pastry shop now stand. It was the best tavern in Dublin for most of the 18th century and as you may know, The Freemasons used to meet there. The founder member of the club and indeed the first Grandmaster was Richard Parsons.
