Set in the grounds of a historic Cistercian Abbey, Abbey House is located just a few minutes walk from Boyle, County Roscommon. This part of the country, located about half way between Dublin and Donegal, is perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The large Victorian house is surrounded by beautiful mature gardens. Inside, the house is elegantly decorated and you'll feel right at home here. There are six guest bedrooms, most of which are ensuite and you will have access to a cosy TV lounge with its own open fire. The house is fully central heated which is especially welcome during the chilly winter months. Cots etc. are available if you have young children. There's also private car parking.
If you're into fishing then you're in luck as it's possible to go angling on the premises as well as on nearby Lough Garra. Boyle Golf Course (9 hole golf course) is located about 3km away. Also, since it's right on your doorstep you should check out Boyle Abbey, a well-preserved Cistercian Monastery dating back to the 12th century. While you're in Boyle you can check out King House. This house was built by Sir Henry King in the1730's and it had an important effect on the history of the area.
