An exploration of the habitats and life in Ireland's bogland. Gardens with lake, fen and bog habitats, greenhouse of insect eating plants and peat free wild flower and vegetable growing. Guided and self guiding tours of the garden and nearby Lodge Bog. Walking route known as the Lullymore Biodiversity Trail between the nature centre and two bogs nearby. Museum exhibition about the growth of peat, life in the boglands, the future of boglands in Ireland and peat free gardening techniques. Open all year round Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm. Special openings at weekends from May to September.
