Burren Lodge B&B has a superb location just 2km from the town of Athlone in County Westmeath. The large bungalow can be easily found adjacent to the roundabout on the N6, the main Dublin road.
The property has four spacious guestrooms including two double rooms ensuite, a double and single room ensuite and a room with a double and single bed. Each room is equipped with a hair dryer, a TV and tea making facilities. Outside there is a garden for guest use and private car parking.
Burren Lodge has a great location for touring the midlands. It is close to Clonmacnoise, one of Ireland's biggest attractions, where you can see the ruins of a monastery, which was founded in 545. There is also a range of outdoor activities to enjoy such as angling, boating, golfing, horse riding and sailing. Because Burren Lodge is located in the heart of Ireland it is just 1.5 hours drive from Dublin Airport and 1.5 hours to Galway and the west of Ireland, making it the perfect stopover on your travels.
