The Copper Coast Tour starts/finishes in Waterford City or Dungarvan and takes in the entire Copper Coast Drive. This includes a stop at the old Tankardstown Copper Mines with stunning views of the rugged coast which is a UNESCO Geopark.
This trip consists of a drive on the coast of County Waterford, The Copper Coast. This is a UNESCO protected Geopark and includes beaches, coves, harbours and small villages, dramatic coastline scenery and a stop at the old Copper Mines at Tankardstown outside Bonmahon. Also taking in impressive roadside thatch cottages and views of the Comeragh Mountains. There are plenty of stops for photo opportunities and if the weather is fine a picnic stop can be included! You will also hear history about the Temperence Movement formed at the time the mines were operating in the 18th and 19th century. With a stop at at the Bonmahon Visitors Centre take a coffee break and explore the history of the area! Dungarvan and Tramore at either end of the drive have impressive beaches to be explored!
