Glin is beautifully situated on the banks of the River Shannon, providing opportunities for swimming, boating, angling and even dolphin watching nearby! You can also avail of some horse riding, tennis and hill walking in the area. For the golfing enthusiasts, there is a championship links course in Ballybunion, which is 24km from here. Creagh Cottage is a great location if you want to take in some touring of the west of Ireland, as you are located close to the car ferry that will bring you over the River Shannon to County Clare, home to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. It is also an excellent base for touring the Cork and Kerry region. Be sure to visit the top attractions of County Limerick when you stay here, like Foynes Museum, Lough Gur and King John's Castle. At night, head to the village of Glin and drop into one of the local pubs where you can enjoy a pint in friendly atmosphere.
Directions
From Limerick city, take the N69 to Glin and take a left in to the village. Take another left at Dunnes Bar and Creagh Cottage is the first single storey house on the left hand side.
