Historic Farney Castle was built in 1495 by the Duke of Ormond and was added to in 1790 by the Armstrong family. It is now the home and studio of Irish International Knitwear and Porcelain Designer Cyril Cullen. The round tower is the only one in Ireland occupied as a family home and Cyril resides there with his wife,Margie, and the their four daughters, Emily, Benita, Tara and Margot - the renowned 'Cullen Harpers'.
Cyril converted the castle stables in the courtyard to a pottery and a large and varied selection of his Fine Porcelain Gifts and Ornaments are available in his Studio Shop.
For many years Cyril's Knitwear Designs have been selling in prestigious stores worldwide and an attractive Collection is also available for sale in his shop which has been featured in the Michelin Green Guide.
Tours of the Castle daily and there is free parking.
Opening hours 10 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday (closed Sunday)
