Go Back
The first Cistercian monastery in Ireland established in 1142 by St. Malachy of Armagh. Its most unusual feature is its octogonal lavabo c 1200. A visitor centre contains an interesting exhibition on the work of masons in the middle ages with excellent examples their craft on display.
