Mizen Head tour from Kenmare to Glengariff through the Caha Pass. Heading to Bantry along Atlantic Ocean coast of West Cork to Mizen Head. Tour conducts through little lovely towns and colorful villages, mountains (Caha Pass) and green farm lands.

Mizen Head tour starts in Killarney town. At the first stage we will drive through Killarney National Park visiting Torc Waterfall, a beautiful place created by nature, hidden in always green, very dense medival forest. Heading along the N71 we reach Ladies View, first place at our tour with spectacular view at the lakes of Killarney National Park.

Driving away through Moll's Gap towards Kenmare town, one of most cute place in Ireland. Druid's stone circle (circa 3000 years old) and Cromwell's bridge (circa 1000 years old) are waiting for you in Kenmare. Town itself as well, specially on Wednesday which is fair market day, where local fishermen, farmers and craftsmen are selling their own products.

Leaving Kenmare, we cross Kenmare River, heading to Glengariff village. There are three places to stop on the way. Bonane Heritage Park with it's attractions. Evidence of stone fort, ruins of traditional Irish cottage and stone circle called locally "Judge and Jury" because of 13 stones. Next stop at Lorge Chcolatier. Little, family run chocolate factory, at this place you can refill you energy for further travel. Moving along the N71 we have to pass road works zone, nothing unusual but digger driver working here has stumbled across a thousand-year-old tunnel, that is the evidence of early human activity in this area.

Continue driving up to the mountains through more present tunnels but still old. Hand carved by men without diggers and bulldozers. Last, longest tunnel is actually a link between Kerry County and Cork. Glengariff village is next. Great place for lunch, cosy, little restaurants serving delicious food from local farmers and fishermen.  Before or after we can visit seals, lazily relaxing on rocks, just a short walk through Glengariff Park.

Driving around a bay we reach Bantry town and road R591 towards Durrus. Moving along the coast to Toormore and further on to Mizen Head, passing beautiful views at the Atlantic and countryside of West Cork.

Mizen Head itself will deliver you unforgettable impressions, such a close contact to wild Atlantic. Great, fantastic pictures guaranteed. There is a place for little rest as well, local cafe and gift shop. After filling up all your receptors, we will drive back to Killarney, which will take around 1.5 hours.
