The Trust's Wildlife Scheme that centres around the great open waters of Stranford Lough manages and provides access to 14,700 acres of foreshore and seabed. This includes fifty island, woodland, wetlands, saltmarsh and agricultural fields. The scheme al so runs
a hands-on wildlife information centre on the shores of the Lough at Castle Ward. Here you can learn about the Lough's bird, marine and plant life, which includes birds of international importance such as the Brent, Know, Bar-tailed Godwit and T erns.
