The Northern Whig is Belfast's most stylish neo-classical bar.
This bold, dynamic hotspot has plenty to offer. With its fantastic food, fabulous cocktails and sumptuous surroundings the Northern Whig has it all - and then some!
Set in the stylish Cathedral Quarter, the Northern Whig is housed in the old Northern Whig and Newsletter newspaper office. The building itself has been part of the bustling city centre's life and streets since 1821; it was originally built as a hotel and was also a gentleman's club at one time.
With Communist statues from Soviet-era Prague; luxurious chandeliers and impossibly high ceilings, the Northern Whig is quite an experience. The award-winning restaurant serves cosmopolitan cuisine to a high-stepping city crowd. The Northern Whig boasts an extensive cocktail list, including a plethora of in house creations.
