Never bettered by Anonymous I unfortunately cannot review the food at the Garavogue as I did not have the opportunity to sample its cuisine. I did however feel the urge to write about what a wonderful bar it is. I recently spent a long weekend in Sligo as part of a friend's stag party (and therefore, obviously, sampled a fair few of Sligo's bars!). However we were continually drawn back to the Garavogue. It's friendly, lively atmosphere and fantastic service was not bettered anywhere in Co Sligo (especially the lovely ladies Christy and Siobhan behind the bar who worked tirelessly to keep us from getting thirsty!) The bar is smart, stylish and well laid out – with a fine range of drinks to suit everyone’s tastes. The staff were all friendly, eager and provided a service which could not have been better. The atmosphere was cool, relaxed and welcoming. The whole place was clean and well beautifully looked after I would not hesitate to recommend The Garavogue to anyone planning to visit Sligo (as I hope to again soon – and when I do, I will most definitely be visiting The Garavogue) Service: 10 Ambiance: 10 Overall: 8

My fave by My fave I am a French student who spent 8 months in Sligo and the Gara was my favorite place to enjoy a hot chocolate during afternoons and a pint on the evenings. The staff is terrific and the live music not to be missed. Food: 8 Service: 8 Ambiance: 8 Overall: 8
