Situated in the historic town of Drogheda at the edge of the Boyne Valley, the hostel is ideally placed for those interested in avoiding the hustle and bustle of Dublin and sampling the charm of real Ireland.
Only two minutes walk from the bus station where buses run regularly to one of the most important archaeological sites in Europe Brú na Bóinne with the burial chambers of Newgrange (1000 years older than the pyramids of Egypt).
Other places of interest would be the monastery of Mellifont (site where the old Gaelic order of Ireland essentially ended along with Monasterboice and Kells where some of the finest examples of Irish Christian High Crosses
Also the buses go to the many fine beaches in the area and some of the smaller fishing ports for the angling entheusiast.
