Bell X1 released Blue Lights On The Runway in February this year, it went to Number 1 here in Ireland and has since achieved over Platinum sales. The first single "The Great Defector" reached Number 1 in the Irish Airplay and Download Chart, and the follow up âThe Ribs Of A Broken Umbrellaâ has enjoyed great airplay also.
Highlights of the summer have included live shows at Benicassim, supporting U2 at Croke Park, sell out Live at the Marquee-Cork, and their fantastic Electric Picnic performance. The band toured the UK/Europe and the States earlier this year and head off to the States, Europe and the UK again in September for the second time this year.
