Sunday 19th July @ 3pm: My Museum: Musical Postcards. AGE 5+
Music workshop with traditional accordianist Martin Tourish. Hear some great Irish music and join the tuneful fun with thanks to Music Network.
Wednesday 22nd July @ 2pm: 'Imagined Places' Summer Workshop: Symbols and Place. AGE 7+
Join Geralyn White on a special tour of the galleries looking at the symbols of Ireland, their meanings and origins, and then create a symbol of your own.
Sunday 26th July @ 3pm: Hands On History. AGE 5+
Fun family learning with Museum's collection of objects especially for handling.
Wednesday 29th July @ 2pm: 'Imagined Places' Summer Workshop: Wish You Were Here'. AGE 7+
Visit the 'Come Back Erin' exhibition and design a poster to advertise your own neighbourhood, town or city as a holiday destination with Mary Greene.
Sunday 2nd August @ 3pm: Hands On History. AGE 5+
Fun family learning with the Museum's collection of objects especially for handling.
Wednesday 5th August @ 2pm: 'Imagined Places' Summer Workshop: The Giants Causeway and the Legend of Fionn Mac Cumhaill. AGE 4-9
Hear the story of the great Irish hero Fionn Mac Cumhaill and learn the legend of how the Giants Causeway really came to be. Then create your own magical story about the places you know.
Wednesday 12th August @ 12pm: 'Imagined Places' Summer Workshop: Summer Souvenirs. AGE 7+
Join Aisling Lavery in a handling Session looking at holiday souvenirs then create your own holiday crest.
Sunday 16th August @ 3pm: My Museum: Mad Hatters Workshop.
Take guidance from the wonderful hats on display in the Museum and then create your own fantastical hat inspired by a real or imaginary landscape.
Thursday 27th August @ 2pm: Heritage Week: The Bantry Boat.
Join John Kearon for a unique insight into the Navy and Bantry Boat.
Friday 28th August @ 2pm: Heritage Week: Family Workshop.
Explore original objects with the Museum's handling boxes in The Way We Wore- 250 years of Irish Clothing.
