An exciting new installation conceived by Brian Duggan specifically for the Golden Bough, taking special consideration of the particular architecture in Gallery 8. An unstable equilibrium has often grounded Duggan’s work in the real world. Here risk and the belief that it can be circumnavigated by unfamiliar tactics, is a model for understanding the positions we find ourselves in. Experiments in sound, sculpture, digital video and light in the gallery are explored by the artist. The exhibition juxtaposes risky adventure with belief and the uncertain expectation that what is unlikely, can be made possible.
