AedÃn Gormley presents a concert of film music focusing on a selection of directors who formed particularly successful collaborations with film score composers. Stunning movie music from Lawrence of Arabia (David Lean and Maurice Jarre), The English Patient (Anthony Minghella and Gabriel Yared), The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Ennio Morricone and Sergio Leone) plus two of the most memorable scores of recent years, Jaws and Schindler's List (Stephen Spielberg and John Williams). The evening also features part of Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano Concerto which was used so memorably in the classic Brief Encounter.
