Getting Around Galway

Galway is located on Ireland's Atlantic west coast. Galway is about an hours' drive from Shannon Airport, Ireland's second international airport. Galway is served by the Dublin-Galway railway line, with regular services to the capital. Bus services also exist to Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and elsewhere.

Sailing to Galway

Ireland is linked to Britain and Europe by a number of car-ferry routes. The main ports of entry are Cork, Dublin and Rosslare - all of which are betwen 3 and 4 hours drive from Galway.
