Ireland is linked to Britain and Europe by a number of car-ferry routes. The main ports of entry are Cork, Rosslare and Dublin - Dublin Port and Dún Laoghaire, all of which are between 1.5 and 4.5 hours drive from Tralee.
Kerry Airport is situated at Farranfore and operates flights to Dublin, the UK, and Germany. Shannon Airport and Cork Airport are major international airports, and are both within an hour of most parts of Co Kerry.
