Rath Cairn, Co MeathRath Cairn is a Gaeltacht region, where Ireland's native tongue is still spoken in daily life. It was founded in 1935 when 27 families from the west coast accepted new land provided by the Government. Rath Cairn is the largest Irish speaking community in the central / eastern counties and runs language courses for people from all over the country.
