Slieve Na Calliagh meaning 'Hill of the Witches' is a prehistoric site spanning three hills. The summit must be reached on foot, by a steep walk which leads to Meath's highest point, being 911ft high. The site contains thirty known tombs. Embedded in the mound o stones of the eastern tomb known as Carnbane East, is a huge stone called 'Hags Seat', shaped something akin to a huge chairs or alter, it's origin and purpose are still a mystery.
