One of the major towns of County Tyrone, Dungannon has much to be proud of. The political, economic and cultural centre of the county, the town is widely recognised as an attractive shopping and social location also. The heritage of Dungannon is linked inextricably with the textile industry and, as home of the much admired Tyrone Cystal, it has really been put upon the map. In addition to the heritage of the town, Dungannon also features an eclectic mix of architecture, with buildings dating from an interesting range of different periods.
