The Balrothery Inn is a traditional pub with so much to offer with its great history, strong local presence and great food located in the quaint village of Balrothery, Co.Dublin. Originally a coach house and licenced since 1656, the pub tended to the needs of the weary traveller making their way from Dublin to Drogheda. Balrothery and the surrounding areas are bursting with history and stories from the past, like Ardgillan Castle and the magnificent views of the coastline.
The pub is decorated with pictures of the local area and is cared for by the McCormick Brothers who are 7th generation publicans. The pub was recently renovated and all features and furniture were custom made keeping the traditional feel whilst adding a hint of gothic style that makes the Balrothery Inn cosy and homely.
The Balrothery Inn is extremely family friendly and children are most welcome.
One great thing about the pub is the food on offer. They offer the best of both worlds, restaurant standard food in a restaurant setting at pub lunch prices.
Dinner is available from 3pm to 9.30pm, Monday to Saturday and 12.30pm to 7.30pm on Sundays.
A full lunch menu is also available from 12noon to 3pm, serving up soups and sandwiches, to something a little more filling.
The pub also boasts a function room that can cater for up to 70 people and you can have full access to our team of chefs. Bar Extensions can also be accommodated on request and all areas of the pub and function room are wheelchair friendly.
Overall, The Balrothery Inn provides a traditional atmosphere combined with the best of food and drink and complimented by a very friendly and warm welcome.
