Fans of New York style eatery Dillinger’s will be very excited to hear about their sister restaurant which has just opened in Ranelagh which promises to be just as big a hit. The premises were a butcher shop in its former life and hence the name – The Butcher Grill. The gang behind it will be familiar to Dillinger’s regulars – namely restaurateur John Farrell,chef Eamon Conors and manager Grainne Bates. The Butcher Grill promises "The finest cuts of meat and fish cooked over a wood smoked grill". There is a 60-day dry aging program in place for the meat and it promises to be amazing; expect to savour the likes of barbecued baby back ribs and hearty oxtail hot pot stew while fish lovers will be salivating at the thought of char-grilled jerk tuna steak and super-fresh oysters. To wash it all down there will be classic cocktails such as vodka martinis and a selection of hand-picked wines,exclusively sourced by John.
