  • About The Olive Cafe

Olive delicatessen and cafe is owned and personally operated by Peter and Deirdre Dorrity. Prior to opening Olive, Peter and Deirdre successfully ran Cafe Irie, a coffee shop situated in the heart of Temple Bar, Dublin. They sold this in 2005 , fancying a quieter existence by the sea and chose beautiful North County Dublin in which to locate themselves.

And so Olive delicatessen was created in 2005 and has been in the business of serving simple, stylish fine food at a reasonable cost ever since.

The business is comprised of a vibrant delicatessen coupled with a continental style coffee shop and wine bar. One thing you will notice about Olive should you decide to pay it a visit, is that the place is always, always buzzing. You will be greeted with the homely aroma of home-cooked food , the sound of the beans grinding and the din of the customers chatting. It has such a continental ambience it might remind you of a cafe in Italy, France or Spain, yet it has a decidedly local, neighbourhood feel and therein lies the magic….
