my grand father was born in dublin in the 1920’s, he was born at home and never had a birth cert, i was told he might have a baptismal cert instead, how would i locate this? thanks

The parish would provide this record. i am not sure how many parishes there are in Dublin.
Also, the national library has parish records on microfile – these are handwritten but if you had a spare afternoon , you could go through them.
