My husband, best friend and I are going to Dublin in November. We thought that the Clontarf Castle looked pretty cool. Is that a good place to stay? Or maybe should we stay there 2 nights and stay somewhere closer to the inner city the other 2 nights so that we’ll be in walking distance to and from the pubs?
Dear Christine
Your decision to stay in Clontarf was a good one as Clontarf is located on the train line(DART) and also several bus routes.
Its proximity to the city means a quick journey into the centre at all times. Even if you have to get Taxis late at night, they should not be too expensive for the short journey.
