Hi,everybody,I’m Antonella,20 year-old girl from ITALY!!I just wanna drop a few lines to say to all of you how much Dublin is worth to be seen!!I was there last February, for 2 weeks, and I think I’ll never feel this way again:it was the most beautiful period of my life, and I’ll never forget Dublin,my favorite city all over the world!I can only recommend to anyone who’s never been there, to just pack your baggage, and GO!!!You’ll never regret being there, whatever will happen! And I can tell you, believe me,that MANY,MANY things happened to me!I got lost walking outside Dublin one night, another one I fainted in a pub,my friend lost his purse with all money and documents, then it snowed and my bus was cancelled, and then the foot and mouth disease didnt allow us to see many places.. Well,it was a very exciting 2 weeks!!And also,it happened to me to know so many friendly persons:Irish are the warmest and nicest people all over the world, and I really love them, and their way of life! Also,I saw the most beautiful places you could imagine:from the peaceful Parks, Phoenix and St Stephens Green,to Museums, shopping and Pubs, and from wonderful Howth harbour to sunny Dalkey, and then wonderful Malahide castle, and PortMarnock on the sea…And then,Trinity college, and the GPO,and Grafton Street, and the bright and lively Temple Bar….wow, everyone was enjoying themselves at the best! And I wanna tell you I’ve never met such nice and kind people as the Irish, funny, intelligent, sensitive, and with a great sense of humour!lovely, lovely people the Irish!!Always happy, and helpful, and ready to smile…wow…I’ve never felt alone or worried, and the city is safe and always full of people,so that I could to around all alone, and feel good!
So,thank you Dublin for being my sweetest dream for 2 long, wonderful weeks, and thank you for keeping to be my dream every night since I first met you..it was love at first time..and I’ll never forget you, never!
And thank you also for giving me the chance to meet such wonderful people as my host family, the Haskins, who I love and miss much, and the people at school,Alpha College, who were great!and thank you for making me meet my fab 6 friends, the Italian Army Boys, and making me feel in love with a wonderful man…It was a real dream,a "love at first sight"passion and It’s still lasting..and one day we will come back to Dublin to thank this city again for giving us the chance to discover a new life, and a new, real love, that made us feel ALIVE!
and we will sit down in Oliver St John Gogarty,THE GREATEST PUB in Temple Bar,where we went EVERY SINGLE NIGHT,for 15 days, and where we first kissed…We will sit there, listening to lovely Irish live music, with a Guinnes, and will admit, once again, that NO PLACE IS LIKE DUBLIN, and no emotion can be compared to watching the sunrise on the river Liffey, while the musice plays…and you will try what means to feeling HAPPY to be alive, only if you come to Dublin-Ireland…a paradise that can open your heart and change your life!!
Thank you Dublin,I adore you!
And thanks,everyone for reading here!Love,and take care,Antonella
