Hello, I am wondering what is the easiest and most economical way to get from London- Gatwick airport to Galway, Ireland. My mother-in-law will be traveling this route to visit her daughter, whom is studying abroad though a university program. We are not familiar with the areas at all. She has a flight from the U.S. to London Gatwick that we have already purchased (we did this as her daughter is departing from London and they want to return together to the U.S.), but we are having difficulty deciding what the best route would be from there. She is on a tight budget. Any suggestions? Thank-you!
Best way without a doubt is to get a flight from Gatwick to dublin with the budget airline Ryanair.
Then you can get a bus from the airport straight to galway with citylink.
This is the cheapest and probably quickest option.
My partner and I would like to fly to Ireland from London. I have looked on the Ryanair Website for flights, that was helpful, thanks. In terms of their prices – the prices are there but they exclude airport taxes etc. could someone pse assist me and give me an idea what these are, it is difficult to budget for a flight when one doesn’t know what the prices are.
Sharon, when using ryanair web site once you have selected where from where to and the dates of travel, select the flights you want outgoing and incoming, click on select and continue( you do not have to purchase anything until you have completed the payment form and selected confirm) this next page gives you a complete run down of the cost of you flight and taxes, with a total amount at the bottom. So you can get the best option to fit your budget.
