Patricks day in dublin is fantastic, theyve built a whole festival around it over a few days. The patricks day celebrations in limerick wont be as big as dublin but will still be mad never the less.

It does not matter where you are in ireland, everyone goes into town and after the parade goes straight into the pubs.

Limerick is a great city, with great pubs. one advantage you will have is that accomodation should be easier and cheaper than dublin patricks weekend.
