Hi, My boyfriend is putting a trip together for Sept through mid-Oct. We’ll be staying in Dublin for two weeks. I would really like some help from others with ideas on what to do. He is Irish and has been looking forward to visiting Ireland for a very long time. He loves golf, beer, wine and history. I’m easy going and would be happy doing just about anything.
Thank you, Debbie

are still in planning stages, too. if doing any historical genealogical research, need to go to the WHB for birth/marriage/death records. (something we learned on our research)

Debbie,
If in Dublin you must visit the Jameson Distillery in Smithfield (city centre). It tells you all about the making of their whiskey with a tour, tasings etc. I’m not sure of their website but they do have one. While there you can also go up the “chimney” and see out over the city. If you don’t like whiskey, you could go to the Guinness Brewery, also city centre, same thing, tour, tastings etc and they have a new bar which also overlooks the city centre. Either of these would probably take an hour to two hours, depends on how much you drink!.
