Hi Charlotte

All indications are pointing towards Madonna being the headline act at slane this year.

Nothing has been finalised yet, but the latest word on the street is that the concert will take place on Sunday August 29th, the fist time a gig has taken place at slane on a Sunday. (mind you Hotpress magazine say on their site they are expecting it to be Saturday August 21st). Madonna is performing in London on 18th, 19th & 22nd of August.

Irish girlband Bellefire are supposed to be featured on the bill as one of the support groups.

Hopefully it should be announced officially over the next few weeks.

Sunday August 29th has been confirmed as the day for Slane this year with Madonna headlining.

There is expected to be a legal challenge from local residents who are objecting to the Sunday event. Tickets not on sale yet but keep an eye on Ticketmaster.ie

Just moved back to Ireland and got my broadband today. Unfortunately a little to late to sort out my accommodation for the Madonna gig. Does anyone know of anywhere where I can stay in Slane (that isn’t booked out!) for the Sat and Sun night?
PLEASE HELP.
