Quite often pub doormen ("bouncers") will refuse entry to people. They will not let you in if they don’t like the look of you, i.e, if they think you look like a trouble-maker. If you dress well (decent trousers, nice shirt) and arrive fairly early (7pm) you shouldn’t have a problem. Don’t wear tracksuits or t-shirts and wearing runners/sneakers are an absolute no-no.

Bring ID just in case. The drinking age in Ireland is 18.

Look nice and be polite and you shouldn’t have much trouble.

Hey Mark! -How u doing? Dont worry–If you’re dressed fairly decent and not too rowdy on entering you’ll have to probs. Most stag parties head to the pub in the morning–Then you’ll be grand getting in and there will will be no probs coz the doormen will know you by the evening time
By the way–Are you scottish? And is there a Michael travelling with you?
