The National Workplace Smoking Ban has come into effect from today, 29/03/2004.
Smoking is banned in enclosed places of work to protect the health of employees, including pubs, bars, and restaurants.
Smoking on the street, in open areas, etc, is still permitted. There are also a few exemptions including bedrooms of hotels/guesthouses.
You may still smoke in the beer gardens, etc, in pubs, as these are open areas.
