Travelling and temporary exhibitions are staged from time to time. Corca Dhuibhne is one of the most s pectacularly beautiful areas in Ireland, some of its geological formations are 410 million years old. The museum tells this story, as well as a lot more. Touch-screen computer displays elaborate on the Early Medieval period, the Ogham Stones to be found in the area, and on the Irish language, which is the first language here.
There is also a café and bookshop.
