Curracloe is located on the East Coast and is famous for its beach. It regularly holds the EU Blue Flag beach award and has been voted best beach in Ireland in the past. A nature trail runs through the dunes which are under the protection of Wexford County Council. The beach was used for filming of the opening scene of “Saving Private Ryan.”
